Rebecca moved to Airdrie from Edmonton in spring of 2019, and joined the Heartland team in January of 2020. In high school Rebecca had her eyes set on marine biology but soon turned her attention to veterinary medicine. She has been a Veterinary Technician since 2018 when she graduated from the Animal Science program at Fairview College. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is anesthesia, whether it be surgery, dentistry, or a simple lump removal. She has also developed a special interest in behaviour. 

Rebecca had a single cat growing up and now has two dogs of her own, Lucy and Dax. In the summer she can be found camping,  swimming in lakes or rivers, and riding ATV’s with friends through the mountains and the occasional horseback trail ride.
