Sick Pet Services
At our veterinary clinic, we understand how difficult it can be when your furry friend is feeling under the weather. That's why we offer a range of sick pet services to help get them back to their happy, healthy selves. From diagnostic testing to treatment plans, our experienced team is here to provide all of the care and support your pet requires.
Full Physical Exam
When your pet is not feeling their best, we start with asking questions and getting the full picture of what is going on. Then our veterinarians will perform a full physical exam which includes all 12 body systems. This exam gives us a starting off point for creating a treatment plan to help get the pep back in your pet's step!

Complete Blood Screening and Analysis with Full In-House Lab
With patients who can't tell us how they're feeling, diagnostic testing is an incredibly valuable asset to diagnosing illnesses. We are equipped with an in-house laboratory to get your pet's tests results quickly to get them feeling better as soon as possible! We are able to run a variety of blood, urine, fecal/internal parasite and histopathology tests. After your pet's physical exam, our knowledgeable veterinarians will recommend the appropriate testing for your pet.

Diagnostic Digital X-rays
Digital x-rays or radiographs are a valuable tool in veterinary medicine, as they allow our veterinarians to quickly and accurately diagnose a variety of conditions in animals. We may recommend x-rays to diagnose conditions such as intestinal obstructions, orthopedic issues/injuries, heart disease in dogs, urinary stones, and more. Having digital x-rays means that we get results instantly and can figure out a treatment plan for your pet within the same day.

Resolution Veterinary Ultrasound
At Heartland we have an ultrasound that we use for basic imaging. However, for complex ultrasound we are fortunate to be able to utilize a mobile ultrasound service for diagnostic imaging. This service allows your pet to have their ultrasound done here with us, and we are able to provide short wait times for urgent imaging.
