Meagen Lynn

But without the dark, we'd never see the stars

Meagen Lynn, Manager and Animal Health Technician

Meagen is one of our Animal health technicians (AHT). Meagen grew up in rural Manitoba where her family raised cattle and goats. Always being around animals on the family farm she has gained a love for caring for and learning about pets and livestock. The farm has slowly changed over the years so that when she goes home for Christmas and other visits she gets to see goats, donkeys, miniature horses and more.

Meagen moved to Alberta in 2003 to attend Lakeland College to become a registered Animal health technician. She worked one year back in Manitoba before making her move to Alberta permanent when she started working at Heartland in 2006.

She has no pets of her own right now, but has many adopted pets through friends and family with a special soft spot for Beagles. Meagen has a lot of knowledge and experience within the veterinary field, but has always had a special interest in laboratory procedures (where she can be found most days) and client education. She loves to educate pet owners so they can make educated decisions with regards to their pets well-being.

With Meagen, if it has to do with the outdoors it is probably one of her hobbies. She especially enjoys doing anything in the mountains, fishing, camping, playing baseball, golfing, and she must have been a fish in a past life! She LOVES winter and can be found at the curling rink from September to March (please don’t start talking about that triple peel in last night’s game or you’ll never get out of here!).
