Sedona Hayward, Registered Veterinary Technician
Sedona joined the Heartland team in October 2021. She attended Olds College and received her diploma in Animal Health Technology in September of 2021. She was born and raised in Calgary, but has made the move to Airdrie in early 2022. Her absolute favorite thing about veterinary medicine is the relationships that are built with owners and their pets, and hearing about all the goofy things pets do at home! On the medical side, her favorite aspect is laboratory work and looking at samples to help the veterinarians reach a diagnosis for their patients.
At home she has a little black cat named Raven, who she affectionately calls her 'sassy shadow'. She and Raven met while she was studying at Olds and Raven was still a rescue kitty. As soon as they were paired up together during the program Sedona knew she'd be bringing her home, and they've been together ever since!
In her free time, you can find her reading a good book (or scouring the Indigo shelves for a new one), baking, practicing archery, or playing soccer. In the summer she frequently visits B.C and Kananaskis to go hiking and camping with friends and family.
