PLEASE NOTE: A client is considered a referral if he/she comes to Heartland Veterinary Clinic by referral from their primary veterinary clinic. After the procedure or treatment is completed, a final and complete written report will be sent to the referring veterinarian, regarding all findings, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, aftercare, or pathology.
Heartland Veterinary Clinic will not perform any other procedure that is not authorized by the referral veterinarian other than life-saving emergency procedures (CPR).
The staff of Heartland Veterinary Clinic will instruct the client upon discharge to return to the referring veterinarian for follow-up and all other services required. However, there may be times when it will be necessary for the patient to return to our clinic for future evaluation or K-laser treatment. This will only be done when it is deemed in the best interest of the patient or requested by the referring veterinarian.
If a patient is referred to Heartland Veterinary Clinic for a procedure, we will never accept that patient as a primary care patient for the life of the patient unless requested by the referral veterinarian.
